How do you upload images?

Hi, im trying to post a pic of my car in a thread i've made but it says 'please enter URL of your image'.

I have the pic on my desktop, and just want to upload it from there how do you do it?

It's not possible to post pictures on the forum directly from your computer, you need to host them somewhere first.
