Anyone my age (48 :shrug:

) must remember Air Bombs (fireworks)

Can you still get them as I seem to recall that they got banned !

Yep, I remember them, and yes they got banned. Mainly due to cheap badly made imported ones blowing peoples fingers off.

But what is to stop you seperating a magnum rope and attaching one of them to an ordinary rocket ? :whistle2:

We set off half a dozen in one of our school teachers front gardens & legged it......

Needless to say it got highlighted in school asembly the next day :whistle2:

Hmmm, never did anything like that......

Went to a firework party a couple of years ago, and some idiot shoved a rocket too far into the ground.......it did not go up in the air...but spewed out sparks etc (what you usually see when the rockets going up in the air) and made an enormous bang......my ears were ringing for the next day....... :no:
