Hairdresser\'s Car

In your opinion

What constitutes calling a car " A Hairdressers Car"

For me I tend to think

Usually 2 seater sports with hairdryer for engine.
or just looks Pretty
or the new Beetle. ( comes with vase on the dash )

remember thats only my opinion

Which cars would you put in that catogory

Re: Hairdresser\'s Car

In my opinion the Pug 206 cc is a real "hairdressers car". It may be a nicely styled car with a 2.0 lump in it, but could you really see a bloke looking better in one than a sexy blonde with her fit brunette friend in the passenger seat!! no me neither. That's what I think is a "hairdressers car" a car that looks nice but you could only ever see a bird driving it.

Also consider;
Ford Puma
Vaxhaul Tigra
BMW Z3

A car that looks like it should be sporty but actually has a wimpy engine.

Most male hairdressers are gay so not much difference between them and a bird. That said, most either can't drive or choose to drive the more girly type cars

I have an idea. Let's have a competition to see how many sweeping generalisations it's possible to fit into one sentence. Winner gets to cut Jonny S3's hair.

Re: Hairdresser\'s Car

If upsetting people is the order of the day, then I'm going for the max by nominating the Audi TT as the ultimate hairdresser's car. It might have been a style icon when it was a concept car, but truth to tell, it's just a Skoda Octavia 1.8T in lingerie.

It's not the car that makes the car it's the hairdresser that drives it.....

An MX5 for instance, although not my cup of tea, is a lot of fun to drive and more of a drivers car probably than my girly A3

Re: Hairdresser\'s Car

Not truely a hairdressers car agreed, but what about the 'Smart' car?

I pass a chap in the mornings who drives one who's dressed up to the nines, with a bow tie, the whole deal and I just can't help but think - Why? If I was living in a city then maybe, just maybe - otherwise forget it.

I agree that are maybe funky but would you drive one everyday?

Re: Hairdresser\'s Car

First of all i hope this only applies to LADIES 'HAIRDRESSERS' rather than someone like myself, who is a 100+% HETREOSEXUAL Gents BARBER, who happens to be currently driving a S4 Avant(2003 model), fair enough my previous car was a TT 225 Roadster which i bought new back in Aug '01, but i still disagree that's a 'Hairdressers' car!!!!!
Secondly i wear a suit to work everyday (maybe not all the time with a tie), most of the time if not all the time ,it's compliments all round regarding my smart appearance, but i didn't realise there was a dress code in my job!!!!!

Have to agree with Gambba, the SMART is totally practical as a town car, which disqualifies it from this category. I think to be a bonafide HD car it has to be a soft top, don't know why, maybe it's the fact you need to go to the hairdressers after driving one.
