Paste it into notepad, then copy and paste it into ASN - this will get rid of the formatting markup.

Thanks Andy ! Unfortunatly it hasent worked I put the Blank key (The slim one that normaly never gets used) into the ignition and switched on Then locked the door with the key Iwas trying to program Then within the 5 seconds pressed the unlock button But the indicators did not flash to aknowledge the signal ????

ive never tried it yet i need to get me new spare cut first, i came across it on this site and saved it for when i get round to doing mine, could there be a problem with your remote?? or does anyone know if this procedure is just wrong??

Andy there is a small LED on the key which flashes when any of the function buttons are pressed The one on the faulty key flashes just the same as the one My wife has . But I just cant get it to lock or unlock the doors since fitting the new battery Ive changed the battery again in case I had fitted a faulty one But as yet No good ! Audi want £60 to do the job !
Im wondering if investing in Vag Com So I can sort iot out as Id rather put 60 quid towards that than pay it to Audi for a 2 minute job !

Genuinly appreciate Your help ........................................

just found this mate from another thread, worth a try

Right everyone cheers for all your replys , was just about to go to the stealers when i thought id have a quick look through my manual, it tells you how to synchronize the key fob! It was easy press unlock/lock on the fob then within 30 secs put the key in the lock and either unlock or lock the car and it will re-synchrozine its self!
Cant believe the stealer wanted £80 to do that! Robbing Bast**ds
Still got to fork out £180 for a spare key though
Cheeers for all the info again

just checked the manual and yhe above procedure should re-sync it

Just tried it and it doesent work !
But I have a plan A cunning plan ! It involves s small quantity of unleaded and a Swan Vesta .............................................................

no body local got vag-com??
better than parting money with the stealers!
keep me posted mate as i say i am yet to re-program my spare

Lol sorry im being a dum *** again! Didnt read it right, thought u meant the car battery!
