Some rotten little grunt has keyed my better halfs car, all down one side. Its too big and deep for me to touch up and would be too expensive to have the pannels resprayed. Has anyone had any experience with any of the scratch repair companys? Are they any good? Be even better if you know of one in Essex that would be great.

Feel for you mate. :(

I spent 2 days cleaning up our old XR2i ready for a big Ford show and the afternoon before we went the wife took it to fill up and grab some supplies for the following day. She came out to find some toerag had gouged the paint in a wavey line from tail light to headlight.

Inbred scum

really boils my blood this. had some ******* carve a big **** on my bonnet few years back, right outside my house, i lived in a small town and i bet i was walkin past the scum few times a week. why cant we be walkin round the corner when their mid carve. SCUMBAG COWARDS !!!!!!!!!

Yep, mine done too a few months back, the little f**ks.:weight_lift2: I paid chipsaway 300 quid to get it sorted....initially it looked pretty good, but its quite obvious in sunlight now...Its supposed to be a three year guarantee so once it warms up a little, I am gonna get them back.
I have heard a lot of very good things about them though....so I guess the quality varies....not a great deal of help I know...sorry.

a guy at work had his done and he said a mate used some paste stuff to blend it out ????? don`t know myself sounds like his wasn`t that deep tbh.

another lad used chips away but its down to how good each guy is tbh

Sorry to hear about that. I also know how you feel as I've had that happen to two of my old cars up to now and it really, really makes my blood boil too! I never dreamed of doing anything like this when I was younger.

Kids don't have a f&*king clue how much this type of thing costs to repair I only hope it happens to them when they have a car of their own.

If I ever got hold of anyone doing it.. I'm sure I would be locked up as I wouldn't be able to stop myself from doing them some serious injuries!

Hope you manage to find a good repair specialist
