my mate just stacked his 2 week old audi! (not brand new)

This is what happens when an A3 argues with a concrete bollard! It looses!

After some little Tw@t in his mummys astra decided to slice my m8 into a bollard and drive off this is what it looks like.

HAHA I DIDNT NOTICE MY UGLY MUG UNDERNETH IT!

Poor sod... he only has fire and theft insurance AND the AA charged him over 100 to recover him as it was out of the local area! (log story but thats the jist)

if any 1 has Any A3 bit for sale (front end) let me know!

this is not a wanted add just sharing my night will all!

Perfect opportunity to facelift the front.....The damage doesn't look to bad to be honest being, by the looks of it, a new crash bar, slam panel, bumper and bonnet, but thanks Alpine i will steer well clear from mutistory carpark pillars!

Just curious, how long did it take you to take that front end off? And, how long do you think it will take a begginer like me?

From what I'm reading, it's Alpine's mate, not his car, cos he owns an A4, not A3. Looks like he was cut up by an Astra driving chav in the multi and ended up in the bollard, at least the crash bar did it's job. Hope he gets it sorted soon!

Ouch! Wasn't the car driveable then? Why did he have to fork out for recovery?

The puddle of fluid under the car would mean something has sprung a leak that shouldn't have. Get on the Trader as there are often damaged cars for sale you can prob get a whole car for a few hundred, use the bits you want and sell th erest to recover some costs.

took us about 10 mins to get the front end off.... but we ripped the bumper off and such likes. it was all fooked any ways!

should not take long... hour tops i would imagion. 3 screws in each front wheel arch... 2 underneath, 4 spastic clip things on top and ya off with the bumper. front end is a case of popping the pipes wires off ya rad/aircon/headlights/etc, 4 big hex bolts at the top by ya head lights 6 bolts in the front and ya off! putting it all back is the hard bit!! lol

That's grim. Yet another example of people not caring about anyone else once they're behind the wheel. Hope it gets sorted with the minimum of fuss - Thankfully that crash bar did a good job and I guess it won't hurt the wallet as much as an extra few mph might've...

    Regards,

    Rob.

I still can't really see how a twat in an Astra could have cut him up so badly he rammed that hard into the pillar, he must have been titting around surely ..... ?

Surely if the Astra driver was driving wrecklessly and left the scene without stopping... surely that's a hit and run?? Get the police involved.

I'm very sure they'll be CCTV in the roads nearby that police can investigate with?
As far as I know police take hit and run quite seriously.

The question has to be wether he was nudged into the pillar, or just forced into it by poor driving from the other guy or avoidance to hit him?
