Projector headlamp query

Does the projector lamp do dipped or main beam duties? The wiring colours differ slightly on my loom to that of my new lights. Want to get it right or I may blind people.

I think projectors have to stay on at high beam unlike normal headlights, seem to remember reading something along those lines. not sure 100% though.

As above, projector is usually for dipped beam. In cases where both lamps are used all the logic and switching for that is done at the control end, so no wiring to worry about for that to work as it should.
