    Pimp My Hearse...

Well as Marc Almond sang, Say hello, wave goodbye... The much loved and fiddled with A3 TDi Q has gone to a new owner and its time to move on, to this...

    Lowered, 19"s coded body panels

The mountain bikes do a lot better inside, there is room for 5 people, five bikes and still more space for kit

Leather re trim for the heated seats, vital foor surviving Scottish post bike rainy days

Pioneer touch screen nav, speaker upgrade, hardwired road angel and stick on bagpuss

Healthy re map from 174bhp to 213bhp with a good torque increase

It doesn't drive like the old A3 but it does seem to have "presence" on the road.

Guess I will be a Audi lurker on here as there are stil a lot of good tips and tech info...

And if any one else says "Pity The Fool"....

    Let the mods begin again.....
Coming back to Audi with an A3 Tdi Sportback Quattro... but the 220bhp T5 was epic....

You know the sticky Bagpuss is good for 10bhp across the rev range

    Life begins at 140mph

They are a sweet van, is it the sportline?

The problem with common sense, is that its not that common.

Chris, its not the Sportline per se, that is a pure van offered as a special package by RSD. It has no seats in the back and only has one door on the left side. I think there is a Sportline Combi but its not possible to spec a second sliding door which is important for me.

I Started with a 174 Combi for rear seats, specced a rh side door so not to step into traffic in mainland Europe, dropped the suspension 30 mm on "Sportline" springs, bought the 18" rims and tyres, got the rear insulated and carpeted, leather trimmed the seats and did the stereo and re map as well. The original grey bumpers and exterior plastics were smoothed and colour coded to match the rest of it. So its sort of a Sportline but technically, it isnt. All for just over the price of a genuine "Sportline"

I know a guy at VW Carlisle who is into MTB'ing and knows the company I work for so he cut me a very good deal.

Next on the list is a better suspension package, then we will see how we go.
