I was hoping to buy a new hid conversion kit but I am not sure what colour looks good on my car. Any advice?

My opinion is that 6000k is the best compromise between brightness and a nice crisp clear white light. Thats what I went for and I have no regrets.
6k is probably right as James says as going above that you do lose the actual main reason for them which is brighter area & nice clear view, it starts to lose the distance & clarity above that along with colour becomes tinted purpley I think which looks *****, but also make sure its a decent kit, one of the best guys is Ian @ www.hids4u.com
Give him a shout as he also knows the pitfulls of using after market kits & the all so well known bulb warning system in VAGs & other cars & has appropriate fixes that are safe & work.
