    Question

This has me a little puzzled...

    XJ200

    weight: 1560
    engine: 3.5 v6 twin turbo
    power: 549 bhp
    torque: 473 lb-ft

    Zonda S 7.3

    weight: 1250
    engine: 7.3 v12
    power: 555 bhp
    torque: 553 lb-ft

    So how does this work?...

Must be down to gear ratios right? The video doesn't say what distance the race if over though.

It's to do with torque in my opinion, where the Zonda has a good torque figure of 553 lb/ft, it's a peak figure produced somewhere near the rev limit I would say, but with the XJ220, it only has 473 bl/ft, but being turbocharged, I bet it has most of it available low down in the torque range and probably all the way to the red line.... the area under the graph is bigger as EssThree would say.
