Ouch, might be easier just to replace the whole door with one the same colour, shouldn't be too hard to find one complete.

Its very low down so i'd imagine it was someones foot. Jealousy causes total f-wits to do stupid things. Get a Rottweiler and leave it in the car, but just before you get out poke it in the eyes so its really pissed off! That'll make people think twice about getting near your car!!

I always park in the pick-up point as I'm always picking up something from there, not as if its a disabled spot is it? Cashpoint cripples are buggers for that.

I went to see the head of security there today and he checked the cameras near the atm machines and they just missed it. They normally have cameras that cover the whole carpark but they're in the process of upgrading them so they were'nt working. Typical eyy.

This ones slightly on the extreme side but here we go.....................

Taking a leaf from Sly Stallone's character in The Specialist, you could make yourself some of those directional bombs that do no damage to whatever is behind them, strap them all over your car so if anyone or anything gets too close............KABOOOOOOM...........no more dents, and no more dogs pissing on your wheels "marking their territory"!! To get around the legality of this you could have signs on the car warning of proximity detecting explosives, and if peole get toooo close then they get a final audible warning in the style of ED 209, "Stand back or you will be blown up, you have 1 second to comply". That way if the fuzz ask, you can say you did warn people!!!!!!

Oh cheers for that mate. I'm not sure what i'm gonna do about it yet. I think a new door would be easier. Gonna check local scrappies at the weekend. Fingers crossed for a silver one and pop into my mates body shop an see what he has to say.

I feel like giving up now though, spend soo much money on this car and other people just seem to have no respect.

Gutted for you mate! Careless £$*!s like this really wind me up; especially when they're the cowardly sort who would rather leave you with the mess than own up to their actions and sort it out.

Hope you manage to get it back to looking tip-top again without too much stress or expense bud...

...Without wishing to stir things up and further divert us from the topic, turning this into a survey of Asda car parks instead of a discussion about what happened to poor old Randomjim's car...

...I did notice when on lunch today that at the Asda near work theirs is 'parent and child'

Anyway, back on topic... Have you had any joy with a plan to get it sorted yet RJ?

    Regards,

    Rob.

I haven't really thought about it to be honest. Works hectic at the moment as its coming up to the end of the month so i'll leave it to the weekend i think. The whole car is in need of a lot of tlc at the moment. So i'm not even sure if the door is the first priority yet.

Right went to the scrap yard yesterday and all they had was a facelift a4, luckily. I just attacked the door with a sink plunger and it'll do the job for now. Will need a respray at some point but so does my whole car lol.

Yep, well done bud! - That's a pretty damn good result when you compare the photos at the top of the page to those. Now to fit the proximity-triggered laser-cannons...
