Selling my GTI, cant decide between Ebay or Autotrader, anyone got advice or recommendations? Thanks in advance!

Yeah, definitely on Auto Trader. Don't forget to stick a note in the car window as well - sold my old Polo that way before the ad even went in Autotrader!

Do not advertise it on eBay, you'll get silly offers like £7,000 plus an Austin Allegro with no MOT. There are a lot of timewasters on eBay, it's good for buying cars but not for selling.

I disagree. Although I've not sold a car of my own on eBay, I've put together HTML listings for two mates who have. Went to town on both listings, with loads of detail and pictures, and both cars sold really easily with loads of enquiries and they made more money than was expected.

Just put lots of warnings to ward off timewasters, insist on bank transfer only, start at the minimum price you'll accept (don't put on a reserve) and away you go.
