A silly friend of mine, who has very limited knowledge in cars has just gone a purchased an MGF, despite me telling him that they are crap! lol
Anyway, he bought it cheap, and the previous owner told him he needed front brakes, so of all places, he takes it to Kwik-Fit for replacements brakes, where he paid £150 for new front brake pads and disks fully fitted.
On paying the bill, he was told that whilst he was the owner of the car, he would have lifetime warranty/replacement on the front disks and pads, so he enquired that if he wanted new pads and disks next year, what was the procedure? They said, just come back and bring the receipt, and they will be replaced FOC! Funny thing is, he even got it in black and white, fully printed onto his receipt lol(I've not actually seen it yet).
Now can someone please tell me that it's a joke, or it is indeed true that such a warranty/replacement exists?
