    Job suggestions......

After 2 and a half years of loyal hardwork and no pay rises it's time for a new job. Only thing is i have no idea what i want to do........

    Previous jobs:-
Bar work (good while i was in college but not as a full time job)
Insurance broker (good money but extremely boring)
Assistant Manager at Motorworld (rubbish money but a good laugh)

All i know is i need more money! Any suggestions would be good.....

    Or job offers lol

Is it too late to get a trade?

The stonemasons that work for my company earn about £30k a year plus ALOT of overtime plus travelling expenses. 2 years training then you're straight on to about £15/hr minimum.

I'm the one bringing the money in and making sure the job's are run properly, and doing lots of unpaid overtime for a lot lot less lol.

Learn how to fix air conditioning (Building Services & Maintenance NVQ), the principles the same no matter what make or model air con unit your fixing, then go out and work in Iraq on 5-6k (taxfree) a month, do that for a bit then come back to the UK, global warming is coming and you will be set for life...

(now if only I could be arsed to do that...)

If you're good at sales, then what about a car salesman? Newbies start on a low basic, but - depending where you work - you can easily double that in commission if you're good. Plus it's obviously car-related!

The only other job I can think of to start in with limited training is an estate agent. My wife's cousin is a bit younger than you and had no idea what he wanted to do, so I suggested this to him and to my surprise he went for it. Doing quite well too - again, the commission is good while the house market is buoyant.

My dad was a very succesful car salesman earning about £60k a year in the 80's working for porsche but he made me promise i'd never go into car sales. I've been tempted by the service/parts department though.
