Radio 2 talked about the proposed Road Pricing car tax scheme on the
radio. Apparently there is only one month left to register your objection to the 'Pay as you go' road tax.The petition is on the 10
Downing St website but they didn't tellanybody about it. Therefore at
the time of the comments only 250,000 people have signed it so far and
750,000 signatures are required to stop them introducing it.Once you've
given your details (you don't have to give your full address, just
house number and postcode will do), they will send you
an email with a link in it. Once you click on that link, you'll have signed
the petition.

The government's proposal to introduce road pricing will mean you
Having to purchase a tracking device for your car and paying a monthly
bill to use it. The tracking device will cost about £200 and in a
recent study by the BBC, the lowest monthly bill was £28 for a rural
florist and £194 for a delivery driver. A non working mother who used
the car to take the kids to school paid £86 in one month.

On top of this massive increase in tax, you will be tracked. Somebody
will know where you are at all times. They will also know how fast you
have been going, so even if you accidentally creep over a speed limit
in time you can probably expect a Notice of Intended Prosecution with
your monthly bill.

If you care about our freedom and stopping the constant bashing of the
car driver, please sign the petition on No 10's new website link.

This was on the news that other day it lets you see the last 500 people or something that sign it and it only takes a couple of hours to completley change the list. I think that will be completely scrapped anyways. If it does come into power I am leaving the country as i am not fooking going to pay to have the GPS stuff fitted to my car

Exactly load of ******** its like big brother in england probably will start charging shitting tax soon lol. cant do anything without getting taxxed.

my old boy just sent me the exact same thing. I signed it a few months ago, but theres no harm in signing it again using a different email address!

Could you imagine the old guy that has owned his Ford Fiesta from new since 1996 car is worth £20 and they wanna fit 100's of pounds worth of SATNAV tracking to it. BULLJOBBY!
But hey if it does come into power will they charge caravan towers double!!!

Not sure where R2 got their info from, but BBC1 yesterday were saying that there were over 1million 'signatures' already. And the petition ends next Tuesday. Just looking at the site, there are nearly 1.4m 'signatures'.

Pay as you go crap,we already pay as you go road tax ,fuel tax highest in the western world.I imagine all the a--eholes running about in untaxed and uninsured cars will be paying £200 to get road charging equipment fitted to their cars.
I think not.

It wont happen anyway, its good that people are signing up to make sure but there really is no danger of it coming in anytime soon.
