This is mostly for people who purchased there cars used or nearly new.
Also if you could say if you financed it, got a loan or paid cash

Bought it from Whetstone Audi and Little finace help

Bought my A4 from Huddersfield Audi with 33k miles on the clock, interest free loan from my parents, paid off 4 years ago now. It owes me nothing, has done 150k miles and is actually making money for me now on company car allowance (even though it needed a new gearbox last year)

Sainsburys bank new still owe **** loads on it ******

german specialist trader, spur of the moment. went out to sainsburys, bought a car on way home!

*edit* px'd the tdi and paid cash!

Part loan part cash, private from a guy on ebay but at an agreed price befroe auction ended!

A random garage in Essex, paid cash there and then-

Had never even seen or heard anything of the car before I saw it..

It was mean to be!

Bought mine from a phone calli made to a garage 60 miles away as unseen, had been waiting a while for one i could afford, financed it at the time, but have since payed it off.

purchased mine through a broker from Bexley Audi, brand new, on PCP.

Bought mine from a non Audi trader just over six years after it was first registered with 38,654 miles on the clock. I used cash and a tiny top up from a loan to buy it; I need a new one now but that'll be bought with insurance money (touch wood) and probably more cash than I'd like :(

Regards,

Rob.

Silver75 yes from parklands Audi up north somewhere, there aftermarket care seems to be top notch always getting letters asking of my opnion on the car and if im happy with a Audi. Got the finance from sainsburys ( freeway Royal Bank of Scotland ) car should have been £30k but got it for £26k my local audi dealer could not believe that the car was uk speck and that a audi dealer could do the car at such a discount ( i do its called intrest on the loan ) Would i go through the process again yes but seeming as i dont like the MK2 TT im stuck for choice

Found it on ebay but bought it off the guy privately. Took out a small loan and paid it off so its all mine.

Proper trade deal. "Old Mouldy" was p/x'ed against a Ford Galaxy and left out the back (way out the back in fact) with the trader wondering how he would get rid / dump it. My pal came to it's rescue when he asked what 'Gary Glitters' the trader had in....

I got mine from Audi approved, whilst p/xing a BMW 3 series I got bored of, and took out a £10k loan also with the said dealer. Wished I done a bit more research before buying though, might have save a grand or two, more of an impulse buy methinks, but I still own it, so can't be bad :)

How big is your penny jar

Not big enough! Actually most of the cash came from some inheritance which I received earlier in the year.

Anyone bought privately and wished they had spent a bit more by buying from a dealer? Just asking as I have never bought a car privately before....

I actually bought from a trader and declined the warranty to get the price down-

The warranty didn't cover much and I know plenty of useful people, also didn't fancy an hour and a half drive every time I had a knocking noise!

The price battle literally took over two hours, started to treat it as a bit of a challenge!

Traded in Passat to Audi Crewe rest cash, so car is mine, car was 6 months old ex demo.
