Who is best???

For me? De Niro wins hands down

Heat is my favourite film cos they're both in it. Legends, the pair of em.

Pacino has the edge in my books, Scarface and Carlitos way rock.

But then Again De Niro, Raging bull, Casino, Mean Streets.

AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :scared2:

I just Don't know!?!?!?!?!?

Pacino all the way, not sure I can forgive De Niro for starring in Meet the Parents !

:ohmy::ohmy::ohmy::tocktock:

meet the parents/fockers both quality films! funny as!!

4 each I reckon this one will be close...

I do think Pacino is certainly the coolest of the two and he wouldn't lower himself to a film as bad as Meet The Fockers.

I've made me mind up, defo Pacino. :arco:

Hmmm, very very difficult. without a doubt De Niro has made more good films then pacino (classics like heat, goodfellas, casino, meet the parents etc) but then pacino did Scarface, and no more needs to be said on that. i'd say about even but if i HAD to go with one it would be De Niro.

Yeah but Pacino did Sense of a Woman - absolutely awful film. Never forgive him for that. TBH they're both pretty one dimensional like all good film stars, just lucky the one dimension is a ****** good one.
DeNiro for me - Deerhunter rules

...Deerhunter, Once Apon a Time in America, Mean Streets, Raging Bull... list is endless

What about other De Niro Classics.. such as the one we go all gooey at... Ronin! or The Score, or Copland or the remake/horror "Cape Fear" where he was the villain.. absolutely superb!! :salute: :salute:

DeNero by the way i thought meet the parents was v.funny

Pacino for me, Scarface and the Godfather series beats the De Niro gangster classics.
Both great actors though

Pacino also did Serpico which again is another classic. As far as Scent of a Woman goes, not a classic but superb acting.

Don't forget Devils Advocate as well. Crackin film.

All said and done they're both at the absolute pinnacle.

Difficult one! Went for De Niro though - never puts in a bad performance, plus I thought he was excellent in Ronin.

can't believe pacinos gettin beaten almost 2:1, thought it would be a lot closer, it really is hard to choose between them.

Analyse this/that are also very good Niro films. But yea his performance in Goodfellas/Casino are probably one of his best, but if we're talking about 1 single performance, then without a doubt it has to be Pacino aka TONY MONTANA!!!

This one has nearly killed me, but in the end, when faced with being poked in they eye with a stick, I went for Al Pacino. As dramatic actors, thery are among the very finest ever, and you can't get a playing card between them. But De Niro does comedy badly, whereas Pacino knows not to go there.

More than just a classic. Possibly the very best of its type. Just as Goodfellas was the very best of its type.

Oh hell! I'm confused all over again.

De Niro for me. Bought Goodfellas and Heat yesterday on DVD as they are only a fiver at HMV at the mo.
