I am sure many of you have had the same problem.

I am refering to the Person who lives in your street that puts notes on car windscreens telling you not to park somewhere even though you have every right to park in the location as its a public road.

What is the matter with these people ? and have any of you found any succesful tactics with dealing with these idiots ?

^yes. go see them and ask them if they like their knee caps.......

I generally find threats of violence and intimidation work quite well.......

:box:

On a serious note though, in some instances threats of violence carry greater penalties than the actual act of violence itself.

I would if I knew who was doing it but the cowardly little tossers obviously sneak out in the middle of the night.

I have to leave notes on peoples car's who block my driveway.

it winds me up when my weekend is ruined becasue some blind t_wat decides that i'm going nowhere.

thats fair enough if they are blocking your driveway,

I am on about the twats that think they own the entire area.

Shag his wife then leave a note. Sorted

Been here ...had this ..after along story I ended up breaking the guys jaw (mind you, I did recieve a black eye.. never before had in my errr... macho days!) The upshot of it all, was that we now don't talk at all which is great, and he's on his final warning with anti social task force. It takes time to clear and once it does you'll be surprised how many other people in the street have had the same - all of a sudden I was an unwanted "hero" because no one else would stand up to him.. Be prepared though, on talking to your neighbours you'll be surprised how much you are all alone until its over and settled as most people don't wanna help in case of repercussion...

Good Luck and keep us posted as I've been there mate and you have my Sympathies 110%!!

Sad isnt it when people seem to think that they have a right over everyone else in a public area.

In my case I am parking in a designated parking area !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have had a chap move in next door. Is about 60-70 and causes my mum grief.

Has put a fence down the middle of our driveways and then rocks down the rest of it past the building line. Also got the council to mark out drives with a white line so that noone blocks it but its the quietest area ever so noone will ever park over a drive.

See the wood strip inbetween the drives, is now rocks.

A couple of years ago when it was snowing I had my car out on the road and had it running as to demist it. He came storming out shouting and swearing. It wasnt even that late 7-8pm.

I was on the phone at the time so had to hang up my call and get out my car.

I then asked him what was up with him and we had never complained when we had had vans for their work over out drive or sawdust over all our cars.

But oh well have never spoken to him since.

In my early twenties driven by distraction by an alcoholic going bats in the flat above I went up with a five iron (didn't want to ruin a wood) and threatened to wrap it round his neck. didn't hear a whisper after that, maybe he died of shock.

Had this with a now ex-neighbour. I live in a terraced street and he insisted that he should be able to park DIRECTLY outside his house and ******** to anyone else. Me and a few other neighbours decided we'd had enough so made sure that he couldn't even park on his side of the street, let alone outside his house. Doesn't live next door now. Sorted!

I have found out who is doing this and swapped my car for my transit van

Have parked my transit van which is filthy directly outside his house and written ****** down the side in the dirt. And left a message on the dash saying

" why on earth would I want to park this eyesore ouside my own house when I can park it outside yours" :p

I wonder what response I will get if any

Yep its definitely done. I am hoping the rain we are having here in MK wont wash the ****** of the side of the van. I intend to leave it outside of his house for the whole week.

Very sad that these people dont have anything more interesting to fill their lives with.

They can moan if they buy a big house with a PRIVATE road, otherwise, **** off!

Class mate - all the best with this one !!!

.... you should keep a look out for his reaction when he first notices it :ninja: - that could be very interesting :nyah:

He wont miss it as his front door is about ten feet from my van and all he has a view of from his house.

As you say if people dont like it then they should get better jobs and buy a private estate in the countryside.

I would imagine some people could be really upset and intimidated by these types of people. At the end of the day you just have to look at them and feel sorry for them .

Just make sure all your documents are up to date, MOT etc etc and there are no Double yellows etc you know how it goes... make sure when doing so you are **Squeeky** clean and with in the Law... that way it won't come back and bite you....

Nice One!! & Good Luck...

top tip, never go tooled up with any kind of golf club as it is the easiest weapon to grab off somebody. All they have to do is get hold of the club end and you won't be able to keep hold of it. A baseball bat is far better as it has a stop on the end to ensure your grip, and there's nothing the other party can grab and hold onto.
Had a guy here in Southampton who ended up getting badly beaten by 3 14 year olds who were breaking into his car. They grabbed the club off him and then set about hospitalising him with his own weapon.

if you are parking outside someone elses house then its ok once or twice but if its always then thats not right.

I wouldn`t use a note I`d just make the front of my house clear one way or another.

Van is only 15 months old has tax 4 good tyres and is parked in front of his house in a designated parking area of the road. Its a cul de sac.

What is actually the most annoying thing of all is the fact that I am one of the few people on my street who actually ensures they are allways legally and considerately parked. I dont park my car or van directly outside anyones house as a rule I park on the opposite side of the road in front of a brickwall.

Reminds me of a neighbour that moaned to the local council that I was bringing home a large van trailer and........... (taking the liberty of parking it on my drive).

As there was no offence of parking it on the road, I decided that that is where I would put it while I went on holiday for 2 weeks. This was 6" from his drop kerb, and 10' from his front room window.

With 2 wheels clamped it went nowhere :)

That solved it.

He moved shortly after, and so did we.

Biggles

Recently had a bit of a spat with next door neighbour ,over mate parking his Scooby there she claimed that he was reving up his car when in fact he was just letting it idle ,to heat up the oil/cool down the turbo
Came out screaming that she was going to phone the police i kindly informed her it was the council that delt with noise polution(hey im a nice guy) and considering it wasnt in her drive way it was nothing to do with her its in my down stairs neigbours slot(she doesnt have a car and is the nicest old lady you will ever meet) and she doesnt complain why should she !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also pointed out that no one says anything to her when she has partys that last till 4am drunken friends making noise on way home! and the fact that she makes more noise that a porn star during sex! ,think the last bit really caught her attention lol
hasnt sayed a word since , and that suits me fine !

Is that all you got TD.... and heres me thinking you were goona dish the dirt on something major....:3sadwalk:

Good advice Andy. Would you recommend a wooden one or alloy? :hi:

Depends how hard you're going to hit them, alloy is safest as it won't split.
