Well there ok but there not great at camera detection or navigation really. Sort of average at both. Proberably better off getting a dedicated sat nav and downloading the speed cameras from tinternet.

Well we've had mixed reviews some come back saying its amazing and they love it and some hate it. We've got a customer thats a truck driver and he got caught speeding because it didn't pick the fixed camera up. But then we have customers that say its saved there licence.

I've never used one myself, you have to register them before you use it so i can't borrow one. I'd go with something like a garmin nuvi then get the speed cameras from my pocket gps.

I had the Road Angel Navigator about 15months ago but did find it slow to find satellites and not as good as my Road angel plus for speed camera detection, still keep the plus in my wife's Cooper and it finds everything inc new lasers

I then bought a TomTom one which was great for NAV and with the gpsworld database was good for fixed and temporary cameras but no good for spot check lasers, which unless you buy a specialist detector most miss.

I now have the RNS-E and do actually miss the TT one for quality of route finding although for what I paid for the RNS it is miles better (not the 8 times better the full prices is though),

I have also used a Garmin 550 and Sony Nav-U (looked great but garbage at route finding) bought just before I found the RNS-E the Garmin was better still as it had Bluetooth that worked with my phone (Blackberry so most don't)

personally I think the Navigator is getting a bit old now, Sorry.

The new Sirius from Snooper looks good value

In that case, the 6000 will be fine for me.

I've presently got an RA Classic at the moment. I got it on Ebay in 2004 with a 3-year subscription that will run out next August. About a year after I got it, I bought a Navman 510 sat-nav, which meant 2 GPS boxes on the dash.

I tried using the Navman with a memory card loaded with camera positions, but didn't like it. I love RA's camera detection system, so when my subscription runs out next year. I'll probably replace both units with an RA 6000, or equivalent if it has been superseded by then.
