Just bought my dream bike an intense 6.6 in black, bought the frame and fork(07 pike u-turn air) and am swapping everything else over from my 04 spesh stumpy fsr pro.I should have it ready tuesday, out for a ride on thursday,i can't wait.

sounds nice andy I've got a bullit with rs boxxers and fifth element don't get out much these day's (2 young kids see to that) defo miss it though.Where do you go riding

used to have a stumpy as well, miss it too. got a santa cruz heckler just now. was up bike track this morning, only got an hour winding n weaving gettin some air over the jumps b4 wife had to go work an i get two kids rest of day. need the escapism ! :respekt:

I am in cardiff so,cwmcarn, afan, the ridgeway(cardiff to newport),we ride the rhigos a lot which takes in parts of afan skyline, had 5 hrs there today(on the stumpy for the last time) which is not good for a first ride in 4 mths. Also i like coed-y-brein but haven't tried out the new tracks, nant y arian is good, but always raining when we go.We went to LesGets in the alps in june, which was ace and i was quite fit then, but other things have got in the way,a young daughter, plus i have been working on the car a lot,so have only had 3 outings since june inc today.I'm going to be hurting tomorrow lol.

sounds cool, my mate was over in france said same as u, lucky **** did a month at whistler 2 weeks later, got ft william 2 hrs from me ,good weekend the world cup. tried other sports but bikes still mumber 1:thumbsup:

I go to Morzine and Le gets in France very very good riding.
I hire bikes there

I'm seriously considering getting myself something new here in the US to replace my old, but bombproof GT... Quite fancy a Specialized Stumpjumper FSR...

Only thing is I might get hit with a tax bill when I get back to the UK, so probably going to have to buy an old shed of a bike when I am back in December and bring it out here, so I have a receipt saying that I bought a bike into the US with me, and the one I am taking back is not new...

I haven't been able to ride since I have been here (6 months!!) and I am sure I am going to die the first time I get back on a bike!!!:sob:

I would thoroughly recomment the 06 specialised stumpjumper fsr, i only got the 'comp' spec one, but it suits my needs

Thankfully i managed to get it on the cycle to work scheme, and work did a bit of a deal, and i only had to pay about £500 over the course of the year, which is nice!:yahoo:

So if anybody wants to get a good bike with loads of discount, have a word with your employer about the scheme!

sounds good. how much did you save?

The rrp was £1500, but me and a mate at work managed to haggle a bit with the bike shop and get them down to £1400, which was good, as at the time these were the only 2 in large in the country.
By the time work reclaimed the VAT, i get tax relief, and some other 'tax allowances' were passed on to us, the net cost out of my net wages is £480!:hubbahubba:

Well i now have the bike,i had a slight disagreement with the shop that i bought the forks from,ie i thought i bought air u-turn pike's,but they turned out to be coil in the wrong box,but as i didn't pay air price anyway we came to a deal eventually ie money off and they are not having their shock pump back.I tried it out on sunday around afan,up the whyte levels climb across to the wall and down then back to the glyncoreg centre. It seems to climb very well no bob at all and although its a heavier bike than the stumpy it rides light if you get my drift.Very comfy bike to spend time on,but the rider is struggling to do it justice atm, only 2 rides since june, plus i swapped tyres to michelin mountain extreme's 2.2,which grip very well, too well on the climbs and tarmac. My mate has a 06 Enduro s works with a dhx coil on it and my bike feels a lot lighter. Its a pleasure coming down hill on it very plush,i just need to get fitter to blast through the undulating singletrack now,i was puffing a bit on sunday. I shall take some pics soon.
