Morning guys,
I'm servicing my A3 130 tdi.
Only thing im unsure of is the fuel filter, where it is ( ive not looked yet ) And when i change it will i have problems with air in the fuel system as it is a diesel and end up having to bleed the system.

It should be located to the right hand side of the engine near the block, failing that it maybe out on a wing (Like me)...but once installe its just a matter of running the engine at idle until it smoothes out.. Its a self bleeding system so you should okay...

should be two pipes goin to it and a block with two more pipeswith a R clip on top be carfull that plastic is weak some u have to twist and pull others just pull out

when u have to the new filter in place just fill it up with new diesel and then install the plastic block and R clip and two pipes

then you wont have no problems

Cheers guys,
All serviced now. I didnt fill it up with new diesel, i went ahead and did it before i read your last post. had no problem though, idled lumpy for a second while the filter must have been filling up and job done.
