Is this The End for Tony Bair??

I think Blair made a huuuuge mistake over the Iraq war.. but i still like the guy. Cant believe Gordon Brown and his supporters are (allegedy) fighting to get him out now. IMO Brown should wait till Blair is ready to go otherwise he wont have much of a party to take over. All this in fighting they are just shooting themselves in the foot

Whether he should or should not go is no longer the issue. the fact is that once the momentum gathers in the way it has, you are not just a lame duck, but a dead duck.

I think that what has held the Conservatives back over the last few elections, is the constant bickering and one-upmanship. They seem to have sorted this out and are giving a pubic image of being a united party (behind Cameron). If Labour don't sort it then I predict a convervative govenment next time round...

i feel the way the press put it out ,is way of a man hunt which i personally dont like and all it can do for the labour party is bad press i my eyes.....Tony Blair has made some big mistakes but he is only human..If i said to you that i had never made a bad decision in my Life would you believe me i think not ........Dont get me wrong i understand that with every job there is accountabilty and to some degree he has not met up to the job role..but would you say that you go to work and put out 100% every day??

The whole Hype about Gordan sour face Brown is ******** what are they expecting him to do that is different to Tony Blair ...Say to George Bush sling your hook i think not the guys an account and they are all the same what ever helps the numbers he will be happy with and america is a big part of that number

Next thing the Iraq war does any body here think that TB did this on purpose ...Knowly that people would die ..His reputation would go tits up if it went all wrong, the guy would of done a SWOT analyis of the situation and Gordan Brown would have been right beside him when he did this

The Press control to many peoples minds these days

By the way i did not vote for the Labour Party at the last election this is just my thoughts on the whole fiasco

I think the only good thing about Blair is he at least seems to do what he believes is right, Brown is just a total ****wit that I strongly believe has ruined the econemy, I would rather Blair would stay till the end of his term and tell brown to **** off, so I need a third option.

    3. not if Brown is the alternative.

I spent years, in the UK, working for the Labour Party and I was proud when they were elected.
19 years of the cow Thacher, I once had to meet her, as I was on a committee run by her Health Secretary, Sir Hugh Rossi, good English name that, I have the photo to prove it.
So disillusioned by the neo-Tory Blair, I emigrated to Ireland 7 years ago, bringing all of my Audis and VWs with me, I had to sell the Saab 96s. I shall return (General Douglas MacArthur) when a Socialist Government is elected.

...to be honest Im not suprised at all. Camron will be in next time round, but they are all so similar and he is using the same tactics Blair used in the 90s.

So true,, we need a party of 'vision' with the policies that people want and political will to see them through!

Sadly that is no longer the Conservative Party, nor has it been for some time. There is now only one party that can 'save' this Country.....

    http://www.bnp.org.uk/candidates2005/man_menu.htm

Not that I agree with all of them,,, I didn't agree with all Conservative policy when I used to support them,, but the general 'vision' (not just the Asylum and Immigration bit) is now what most people would like to see enacted.

    My thoughts exactly LOL!!!

Once this naughty man has gone, will all in the garden be rosey again? Problem solved?............................I think not.

They're all cocks, from all parties, and IMO Blair is one of the better of a bad bunch believe it or not.

People only seem to notice the 'failings' of a particular government, bit like only noticing traffic lights when they're on red.

NO GOVERNMENT CAN PLEASE ALL PEOPLE ALL THE TIME!!!!!

i didn't mind thatcher, at least she won against the argies, but the next government should be a zero tolerance type and the soft liberals, greenpeace and save the planet parties should just bugger off, my understanding is that a lot of voters are swaying toward the bnp, which imo is just mighty fine.
Blairs only positives are imo, the link with the usa, any war (shame theres not more though), and keeping the soft parties from being in power.
At the end of the day we need more cops, more soldiers, cheaper fuel, no immigration (and those that are here should be returned with no exception), tougher jails and sentences, capital and corporal punishment the list goes on...
ps i would just love to see the guillotine in action in town squares
If you see a drain cover, open it and you will see britain sinking into the effluent.....

I really believe you should not have politicians that are elected, it should be made like jury service, however you have an IQ test and psycological assessment before being allowed into office!

However if it does have to stay elected I think we need a hard line government just not quite what amb276s3 is suggesting, well all of it except the immigration as I think some immigration is a good thing, just not the criminals and scum we seem to be getting at the moment.

I also agree blair is one of the best of a bad bunch, brown can rot in hell as far as I'm concerned.

Some countries have experimented with non-elected governments in the past, and the result have been, to say the least, somewhat problematical.

A few randomly chosen examples from the 20th Century include Germany's Third Reich, The Soviet Union and Cambodia's Khmer Rouge.

If you think any of those are an improvement on our own system of governement (all shortcoming included), then you really have been on the stupid pills.
