    Question Interweb Genius please

    Hi I am trying to watch some telly on the ABC site, however it will only let you if you from the states. So does anybody know how i can make the site believe i am logged on in the states???? I am sure there is some internet tricker that can help me, or is there??

    Depends how well it was coded.

    It might be looking at your ISP, in which case try bouncing off an American proxy.

    It might just be looking at your regional settings on your pc (start/control panel/regional settings)

    When you first went on the ABC site did it ask you where you were? If it did, and you said UK, it'll have added a cookie to your temp internet files (Tools/Internet Options/Delete Cookies)

    I've just tried to view the dog attack video and not had a problem...
    no funky settings or changes needed...

    Hi,

    it didn't ask about where I am from, the page i am trying is
    http://dynamic.abc.go.com/streaming/landing
    it states below that only people from within the US can view the full length videos.
    So how do I bounce of a US proxy

    OK, I'm in the asme place as you now and get the same issue. Tried amending regional settings and bouncing off a US proxy but to no avail.

    Leave it with me...they won't beat me
