With a few on here posting about Netflix I was wondering what do members “pay to view”, and do they think its worth what they pay?

I only pay for Sky, I get BT Sports Free* with my Broadband

Where I live I don’t pick up many channels on Free View, that’s the only reason why I pay for Sky, not very good value for money imo, if you like your movies for £37 / month and Sport for £43 :(

Imo, BT Sports is good value for money, for the motor sport alone at £12 / month.
WRC / Nascar / Red Bull Sports / MotoGP :icon_thumright:

Over to you…

Android box loaded with XBMC, free movies, free sports and free TV series for me. Still have basic sky to keep the other half happy but saved £600 a year down grading my sky packages.

Gutted I can't watch moto gp anymore, we have a business line at home , bt won't supply us with bt sport

My mums on BT broadband, I set it all up for her using my email, which means I have the password, hello BT sport! lol

My delivery driver subscribes to Netflix, as a test, we tried 10 devices on the same account at the same time, I still have a valid account, free Netflix! haha :yahoo:

My brother inlaw subscribes to HD streaming service, which is basically a dodgy version of Sky Go, and I have the password for that, hello Sky Sports and F1 channels! :arco:

Me, I just pay for VM 50meg broadband, and abuse the above 3 services! :moa:

You are a bad man, Jojo!

I've had Sky World package since 1996, now with multiroom and HD, it's costing me £74.50 a month, and gives me Sky Go on the phone and iPad. I get BT Sport HD free as a BT Broadband subscriber, and I've recently taken up Netflix, which I can access on two TVs, two computers, and the iPad.

Jdp, do you get Sky sports or movies for that £74.50?

(like said) You bad man jojo :icon_thumright: best value for money so far.. ;)

I pay Sky £94.17 a month for:

TV: Sky Movies / Sport / Entertainment / Multiscreen / HD / 3D (+1 multi room - how they can charge to view in another room is beyond me!)
Broadband: Unlimited
Telephone: Freetime & Line Rental

It will go up to over £99 when a 6 month ½ price offer on the BB comes to an end in a couple of months.

Basically £1200 a year for TV / media.

Thats why I put the two fingers up to BT Sport for Moto GP, if I felt the TV we got was worth half of what we pay then that would be fair enough. Unfortunately the Mrs hasn't been able to ween herself off the drip feed of bull**** where I have gone out and found other hobbies for when I eventually start to pair it all back.

TV's largely made for the mentally challenged these days, repeat after repeat after repeat, dumbed down fly on the wall docs and endless **** about dancing and singing folk with a one dimensional talent. I'd rather wipe my **** with £5 notes than give any more of it to Sky and the associated media companies it supports. Even the BBC has proved recently it can't be trusted with money overpaying execs, overpaying relocations, and overusing the same old people on every ****** programme. It's just pitiful and no wonder younger people are switching over to view content on the web.

I don't pay these bills just yet or at least there saying 1st 2 weeks of June when my house is built but, I been looking at sky packages for multiroom and movies and an additional box £54 a month and then phone line and broadband with bt

In my case, I took out my contracts when the respective providers were the only ones in town; i.e. BT for the phone (later internet) and Sky for the TV. In the years since, I have, like everyone else, been bombarded with endless offers to switch, combine, merge and go elsewhere altogether. I've never been sufficiently tempted to leave either or go elsewhere, but have on a number of occasions used an offer from one to lever a short-term discount from the other.

This is why I “try” and only pay for what I have time to watch, and more importantly “what I want to watch”
id like to watch that Breaking Bad, but im not going to sign-up to Netflix for £5 month just for that.

I think Warren and I are paying for jojo’s free viewing!!

Sky Sports - I use a mate's login/subscription.
BT Sports - Same as above.
Sport that isn't aired on any of the above - VIP Box website.
Movies - Pirate Bay.
Porn - Redtube.

Cost - Zilch.

I think that about covers everything.

I need to get me some of this 'free' shizzer. I'm being bent over for tat and I just remembered there is a TV license on top of Sky's highwayman antics (adding another couple of quid to each bill every 6 months).

Well i called BT again today & after a lot of different menus & being transferred from pillar to post and being left on hold for what seemed like forever i finally spoke to a REAL person then after threats of me taking my custom elsewhere they changed their minds & i now have BT sport, £12 a month on a rolling contract, 30 days notice to cancel which will probably be at the end of the moto gp season.
