VW/AUDI Group Product Recall 2014: 7 speed dual clutch gearboxes

Just been passed this information by site administrators.

VAG has issued a recall on 7 speed dual clutch gearboxes following issues reported in some territories.

Whilst this issue appears to be more problematic in warmer climates, UK customers should still contact their dealers to discuss how it affects their vehicle. The fix is listed as changing the gearbox oil from synthetic to mineral.

Shame they didn't do anything on the dsg boxes like the US did, unbelievable tbh.

I have the 2011 a6 7 speed s-tronic ,will this come under the same recall ?

Best thing to do probably would be to ask your local dealer.

I checked with Audi UK and they say my RS3 which was built in 2012 is not affected by this recall.
Only letters have been sent out to specific owners of curtains Registrations Plates. I have kept a printed copy of the article just in case!
