Spambots!!!

What's the story with the Spambots?? I'm only new here but have seen quite a few already.. I'm used to them from the site I used to run...

About three dodgy spam posts submitted in the last 20 minutes

Possibly the forum defences switched off to fix ongoing problems? The forum seems to be operating back as normal now, so hopefully the end of it.
