I am going to view a property that has oil fired heating and was wondering if anyone else has a property with this and if so, how much does it cost you? I'm aware that it costs a lot more than gas I just want to get a rough idea. Thanks

Hi Kat,it depends on how well the property is insulated /double glazing etc,how big house is, how old the boiler is. After 2007 all boilers should be A rated condensing boilers at least 97.3% efficient.
If it has a Combi boiler ,they are nothing but trouble.
Running costs probably 700-1500 a year .

Without seeing it I don't know what type of boiler it is or whether it's A rated or not, I'm hoping that it is. The house is a 3 bed cottage, semi detached. I would like it to be nearer the £700 mark but assuming it won't be
