****** hell, that's a lot of hot hatches. I've had 2 1.8T Seat Leon Cupra R, a 210 and a 225. Other than that it was usually coupes for me

Yea that is alot of hot hatches,
i got a 106 gti which never thought id ever get as mainly like the jap stuff liek the ep82 starlets how ever 106's impressed me as they handle well espicaly on b8's

the 306 was a good car, the Clio 172 was brilliant, but as for 106, and the clio 1.8 they were terrible. I think the only French car id want is a 205 Gti now, and I would own another 172, but as for the rest I am with you, I wouldn't go back.

i forgot i owned a 306 gti-6 and that was the best out of all the french ones as it never let me down

I bet the Civic (EG SiRII with B18C5) was a quick car. I do like vtec but low down turbo power is always better.

Was a cracking car yeah! From back in a time where it was quite a rare conversion too..... no big deal nowadays and the K20 is probably the way to go now.

Was a great car, but in many ways it was just too well behaved and too predictable. That probably makes no sense to anyone else though!

I've always said, and still do, that £ for £, in terms of a standard car - you cannot go faster or have more fun for your money than you can in a Clio 172 / 182. Absolutely awesome cars for the money and one day i WILL have another one.

i prefer a ep3 type r any day.. the gearboxes and terrible and made of chocolate on the 172s and 182s. I went through 3 gearboxes lol

My tiny list (I'm only 21, gives a break!):

Escort 1.8 GTi
MK4 Golf 1.8T (mapped)
Corsa C 1.8

That's it, while the Golf had bags more power (190bhp compared to 125 for the Corsa and 115 for the Escort) it couldn't go round corners.

My 172 never gave me any bother really. Rear shocks and a gearbox mount both done under warranty - but no bother other than that!

Civic's a nice place to sit, no doubts...... but you'll pay more for one than you will for a Clio, and, at least in my opinion, the Clio is more fun.

The EP3 was a very good car as well mind you - I dont really have a bad thing to say about it either. Its just not got the same zany character of the Clio haha!

Lol not as impressive as some

fiesta xr2 (but only a rep so half counts lol)
fiesta xr2i grey
vauxhall nova GTE
fiesta RS Turbo one of only 50 made in Moondust Silver
Mk 4 golf GTTDI
Audi S3 8L APY Red
Audi S4 4.2 V8 for 9 weeks curtesy car lol
Audi S3 8L AMK Silver

For hot hatches I've only had a astra vxr. Rest of mine have been 200+bhp saloons estates.

The S3 is my first hot hatch, I've also got myself a mk2 Golf GTI 16v back in 2007 which I still have. Prior to those, I've had a Beemer, a Merc, couple of Passats and a couple of Rav4s.

1st car was a Mk2 Golf GTI, 2nd was a Mk3 Golf GTI, then had an A4 and now the S3.

More frenchies i'm afraid ... Not all hatches sorry

Some cool cars there!

I think I will be classed as unique;

Rover Metro Gti :hubbahubba:

I can tell you that it had great acceleration on the motorway, but to explain how comfortable it was, imagine taking a go cart made by a 6 year old child onto the M25 and do 80 mph in the fast lane while allowing the mother in law to comment on your driving skills. Hair raising, uncomfortable, and scary!!!!

On one occasion I woke up to find the car was touching the ground. The wheels had not been stolen, the liquid suspension had a leak lol. Unreal.

And the rest of my cars have been more practical. Such is life.

Not unique pal, ive actually had 7 of them haha. gti's and 100's. all fitted with silly 143bhp or 160bhp Vvc engines and mgf individual suspension roll bars etc. Very fun cars to the point that its actually you that drives them :)
