Audi Specialists - Harrow/NW london - Nearby?

Hi ppl,

Need some assists.

I need to get recommendation of Audi Specialists within HARROW, NW London or near to that area. I have called up my local Audi Dealerships for quotes of Servicing/Mot/Cam belt etc... but their fixed priced servicing on a car that is 6 years old done 70k mileage is a Joke!.... and to add i have never had a good experience with the dealers.. they have KPI on obtain extra business and they are clearly full of sh**e!... please excuse me if I'm wrong, but that's nature of the industry.

I have 2x Audi A3's [2007] 2L TDI 170BHp. and looking to carry out
MOT/Cambelt-waterpump-aux belt/full major service all filters/gearbox service/air con regeneration service....

audi fixed priced service has been:-

• Major Service - £309
• Interim Service - £159
• Cam Belt - £569
• Front Brake Pads and Discs - £269
• Rear Brake Pads and Discs - £259
• Front Brake Pads - £139
• Rear Brake Pads - £129
• Clutch (Non-Quattro) - £749
• Brake Fluid Change - £59
• Front Wiper Blades - £39

for a car of my age always been serviced by Audi this is a joke, there is no discount or offers so Audi specialists please help. can anyone give me recommendations... i have used a few in the past, and have been burnt by there b*llsh*t!... where can we find HONEST mechanics that just do a very good job!!!?????

I do believe you're right; he is London based, if I recall correctly.

Don't bother with Russel automotive in collindale not much better than Audi. I have used Chris before and would recommend him, nice chap and knows his stuff.

I used Russell Automotive for all repairs and servicing on my A3, and they offered an excellent service, in my experience.
There's no doubt they know their stuff.

The only thing I didn't like was that as time went on their prices climbed to pretty much audi main dealer levels. They used to be a good bit cheaper a year or so ago.

Would still recommend them though.

Yeah I went to them for an mot, and to see if they could adjust my bumper to close gap between hood and bumper, they said they needed to replace a part charged me an arm and a leg for it, fobbed me off saying it was 70% better, but it looked like there had been previous prang so couldn't get it perfect. It looked exactly the same to me. In the end I adjusted it myself something i should have donecin the first place. I just got the impression that they just make up faults to get the cash. Also got similar impression from other posters. Anyway it's good to hear a positive.

Chris he had plans, said he found a pump from breakers so was gonna try that first. I will hopefully pop round for some coding of rnse over the weekend

There's no doubt they are heavily driven by money now... The offer of enabling alarm beep on door lock for £20, which takes all of 10 seconds to do, is an example of that.
Of course they're a business and are in it to make money, but I get the feel they are all about marketing and the dollar now and a lot of the "love" for the job has diminished.
As said, they still do a very good job, but I come away with the feeling they're only interested in my money now and not at all the pride they should take from the good work they've done.

I once put my car into an Apple Clinic garage in North Harrow for a new tyre. He came back an hour later saying in needed brake discs, pads, 2 further new tyres, tracking and a new Cat converter. He said "good news for you is we can start work on it right away, shall we do that for you?" Anyway, I said I would get a second opinion, took it to a tyre and exhaust place in Northolt, and low and behold there was nothing needed doing. A few months later this Apple Clinic garage appeared on TV with hidden cameras showing them causing damage under the bonnet with a hammer before going back to the unsuspecting customer.

I now only go to one guy, even though it can take me ages to get to him, because I can trust him. Luckily he works for an Audi main dealer Not in NW london though.
