Does anyone know if its possible to get a tap & die this size....

Metric: 7.7 mm OD, thread root diameter is 6.9 mm × 0.794 mm pitch.
Imperial: 0.305 in OD, thread root diameter 0.271 in × 32 tpi.

Have you tried screwfix, toolshed, rs components and maplin. Im sure there must be something somewhere, cant think of any others off the top of my head.

I've done all the obvious places.

From what I can tell its not a normal thread.
The pitch is different.

I might need to find a cheaper alternative.

£100 for the die and £40 for the tap.

The place I posted up don't stock that size any more.
