Hi there, I live in an apartment and my gas boiler is kaput. Called out the gas engineer who said it would be worth considering an electric boiler as fitting a condensing boiler in flat is a nightmare (current boiler is a gas non-condensing). I was just wondering if anyone had any experiences with electric boilers? Are the heating bills reasonable?

we have 1 in one of our flats
and it does the job covers 3 rooms and no probs at all.
havent noticed any mega bills with it.

Whats boiler you got in now? Combi or convential system?

I would have thought heating with electrictiy would have been miles more expensive than gas?

I prefer gas but i work for a well known energy supplier lol if you're on the third floor you'd prob need a tower scaffold to do the flue. I know for the new flue they do a trim that u shove from inside to seal externally which are perfect for flats/apartments
