Performance Calculator

This is what I get.

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 262
Weight without Driver (KG) : 1475

Terminal Speed (MPH) : 97.50
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 13.83
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 100.52

Mines Slugish so invalid, but how do you get toque per ton?

funny pretty accurate to what it seemed after i installed my stereo /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
so i'm guessing that weight is right

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 230
Weight without Driver (KG) : 1750
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 133.54
0 - 60 (Secs) : 7.68
0 - 100 (Secs) : 22.88
60 - 100 (Secs) : 15.20
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 16.45
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 84.78

Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 87.16

and this is what i hope for after remap with turbos

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 400
Weight without Driver (KG) : 1750
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 232.24
0 - 60 (Secs) : 4.74

Terminal Speed (MPH) : 107.43
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 12.94
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 110.80

like hell it will be, but i'll have fun trying to do it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif would be nice to break that sub 5 ....

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 192

0 - 100 (Secs) : 16.53
60 - 100 (Secs) : 10.09
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 14.85
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 94.77
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 14.65
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 96.44

the 0-60 time seems a bit too quick for me to be honest. i've only just touched 7 when giving it a good go... what do you guys think of the figures? a bit hopeful i reckon!

it doesnt consider torque at all really, cause 60-100 times wud be so different dependant on torque output

I think that's about the norm,,, but with an AMD Stage 3 it is now 414, according to AMD's printout! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Maybe we should have a sh!tfight over how [in]accurate jojo's calculator is????

We haven't had a good one for a little while now ....................... !! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Think of it as a guide, as opposed to exact figures, they're not bad though

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 320
Weight without Driver (KG) : 1226
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 265.20
0 - 60 (Secs) : 4.73
0 - 100 (Secs) : 10.61
60 - 100 (Secs) : 5.88
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 13.01
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 110.72
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 12.81
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 112.75

Remember quoted weights are dry weights, so the car will be significantly heavier with 5 litres of oil and 50 litres of petrol! My figures are not that far off..especially the 60-100.

Not much in it though, in theory once the fetzki is up and running look at the 60 - 100mph time! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif

Stage 5 for the S4 has just been released in fact. RS6 8-pot calipers, 365mm disc floating on titanium bobbins.

Must admit I,m not to sure what to do about the brakes,,,,,,,,,,, They are totally bolloxed. I,m due to change the car either this summer, or maybe next. So don't want to waste lots of money on brakes, just to give it back to the dealer!

Any ideas? How much are those RS6 Kits Rich??

the torque output however makes those stats another story - 60-100 is much quicker once on the roll.

[/ QUOTE ]

Thats why i mention the Torque output, as in ui think it was Golf+ Mag, the had a tuned diesel Mk4 against 1.8T Mk4 and the diesel abliterated the petrol from 60-100 or whatever the figure was, someone must remeber this writeup???

Actually just found this out:

30-70mph 3rd gear: 15.4 sec Petrol 1.8T

30-70mph 3rd gear: 7.5 sec Diesel 1.9PD

These figures are exact to what was printed in the mag!
Tell me that torque doesnt count for nothing..

BTW now doing GB on wooden spoons, lmao

Yup it was pretty much proven last weekend on the way home on the Motorway from St ALbans. Behind a BMW 330ci giving it the hey hey, and I gave the bye bye.

Dont think he knew what hit him!

Yeah great - so if you short shift on a drag strip you'll win in the car with the most bhp at mid revs. And if you use max bhp you'll win in the car with the most BHP (assuming gearing is the same etc).

Dumbass torque monkey theorists...

These are the figures for my GSXR1000K3. Unfortunately I had to increase dry weight from 170kg (no rider) to the minimum of 350 (real wet weight inc rider is 301kg in my case).

Actual figures are a little better - Standing Quarter at 10.3 with a terminal speed of 144mph, 0-100 in 7 secs...

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 160
Weight without Driver (KG) : 350
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 464.48
0 - 60 (Secs) : 3.31
0 - 100 (Secs) : 9.08
60 - 100 (Secs) : 5.76
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 11.75
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 113.79
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 11.65
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 115.20

I weighed mine on the weighbridge at the tip last time I was there and it came out at 1250kg with me in it and about 5l of petrol left in the tank. I weigh about 70kg so that makes 1180kg wet-ish.

One of my mates weighed his 225 TT on the same weighbridge and it came out at 1550kg!!

Anyway...

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 198
Weight without Driver (KG) : 1180
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 170.49
0 - 60 (Secs) : 6.43
0 - 100 (Secs) : 16.42
60 - 100 (Secs) : 9.99
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 14.84
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 95.04
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 14.64
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 96.71

Another thing this doesn't take into account is gear ratios, and whether you can get to 60 in second. I presume the calculator is assuming zero time for shifts!

It also doesn't take into account the fact I'm sh!t at standing starts....

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My stats.

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 322
Weight without Driver (KG) : 1380
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 237.08
0 - 60 (Secs) : 4.31
0 - 100 (Secs) : 11.21
60 - 100 (Secs) : 6.90
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 12.99
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 107.63
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 12.59
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 111.16

But I like my car so ain't ever going to fry my clutch to try a match the figures.

This thread does explain why I keep getting left behind by standard TDi's /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
