Since my A3 is in with Agnew Bodyshop getting the front grille and bumper repaired I was given this (quite big!) Mini.
900 miles and just over a month old.
First impressions are poor, first of all, its petrol. A 1.6, which will be doing 100 miles per day.
Underneath its a BMW, which is also poor, I can't work the stupid radio, it took me 15 minutes to pair my phone and had to resort to the manual.
Also the speedo reflects sunlight like nothing ordinary, plus the seats are rock solid, think I'll need a cushion tomorrow.
And also its quite big, but surprisingly easy on petrol on my first journey of 50 miles all motorway - 45.9 mpg
DAB radio seems to be standard, as does the extended interior lighting which you can change the colour of the lights
Oh, and it has a sunglasses holder which actually fits sunglasses unlike Audi!
Anyway, have this until Friday so will see how it fares over the next few days.
Todays update -
Today returned 40.4 mpg over 100 miles all motorway, not too bad for a 1.6 petrol I think.
Oh and being petrol there is no toruqe hit like in a diesel, plus to get any movement out of it you had to be hitting 4000 rpm before shifting
I saw 4 identical models today, one in white with black stripes and the rest just plain but with different wheels. They are more common than I thought for an ugly car.
It's very ugly.
