advice please.. daughter and PCN

we've recently moved and my daughters car is still registered to our old address...
low and behold she got caught in a box junction that had a camera...
the mail redirection failed... 2 months later the new owner of our old house sends us the final PCN in the post...
Pay the £165 or face court/baliffs etc.

Now... the V5C documents etc. are all still in storage and I cannot remember which box but the question is:

1. Can I simply change the address on the V5C? So this does not happen again?

cheers dudes... all done... paid off and changed the v5c to new address. learning curve or what?! useless council filling their pockets and they dont do anything for the borough.
