    Drove like a T*at today.

Don't know what was wrong with me today, but I kerbed my car 3 times.

    Once on a roundabout. ???

And twice in a multi storey car park.

I need more coffee before I go to work in the morning.

If you're just learning, don't worry! Driving isn't as hard as it seems. Driver's ed is a lot less stressful than people make it out to be. I was also worried before the first time I drove. Just relax and go with what you know, it's a lot of common sense stuff. You're just learning how to drive. They know this and are used to it. They might pressure you, but nothing absolutely horrible and it's all to help you get better.
As for swerving, if you're paying attention you shouldn't need to swerve, and if it's not your fault then they obviously won't yell at you for it.
When you're the one driving chances are you won't be as worried about going too fast. The perspective is completely different when you're in control. When it's your first time driving they know you're not comfortable and they won't make you do much in terms of driving fast or with a lot of traffic. Driver's ed is there for you to learn. They don't expect perfection or anywhere near it right away.
Once you drive a little more you'll get more comfortable with everything. Just make sure to practice whenever you can. I didn't drive near enough with my parents when I had my permit, and then when I was out on my own the first few times I was petrified.
Just relax, everyone that you see on the road has gone through the same thing.

I bought my car on a Saturday; the Tuesday the wife damaged the rear wheel on a kerb outside the school, then Wednesday she hit the same kerb with the front and rear wheel! She told me not to bother getting them repaired because she will probably do it again...So I haven't!

It costs about £70 per wheel for a refurb. A friend said that once you have one repaired, you will want to get the rest done. Depends how old the wheels are I suppose.

I have just parked in the underground car park at work. I always position my car at the very edge the bay to minimise the likelihood of the side getting bashed by some careless so-and-so parking in the adjacent bay. This morning, however, I overdid it, and scraped the nearside door blade against the concrete pillar. Gaaahhhh!

ah man that sucks, this thread seems to be bringing up people's driving errors. I curbed my alloy the other day... and not for the first time either... so annoying..

It is annoying, I have decided to leave the alloys as they are until I come to sell it. That way if I scrape them again, I won't be so upset.

I always have at least 1 day per year when I become a clumsy driver. I'm usually so good at parking, no matter the space... Then you have the one freakish day when you're catching stupid kerbs that are so easily avoidable. Although damage to the rim is never usually too bad luckily that it needs repairing.
