    tools, what you got ?

just a genral question you all you guys on here.

coming to the end of my apprenticeship so building my tool collection up, most of my tools are Draper Expert or Facom already into a 4 digit sum what i've spent so far. using a cheap Halfords tool chest at the moment (which is crap bends the draws under the weight of the tools)

what tools do you all use ?

whats the best chest to go for without spending the snap on price tag for a empty chest. top box and roll cab ?

guys at work have either snap on or mac chests. but don't really fancy spending £2K+ on just a chest

Been discussed quite a bit before, general forum consensus for the home mechanic seems to be that the Halfords Professional stuff offers best vfm as you can often get the huge 150 part set for less than £100 and it comes with a lifetime warranty.

If you're in the trade, I guess you'll be looking for more pro stuff - Snap On,Tseng & Stahwille are the only ones I've come across - and the last one was because they always used to have a stand at GTI international.

Edit - sorry, I didn't say originally I've got the Halfords Pro 100 piece set that I got for £40 because a couple of the deep sockets were missing.

As Jason said really most of my tools are halfords pro except a few snap on bits I've aquired cheap, but the halfords stuff is pretty decent but again as Jason says because your gonna be using them every day it might be an idea to spend abit more as they will last longer ,

I've got a mac roll cab and top box with side shelf. Was about a grand though. Got just about every tool I need. Most are mac, snap on, halfords or sealey. Dont think anyone at work has a box that isn't snap on or mac though.
