    ASN Lanyards

There appeared to be some interest in theses and since its a good thing for the club I'll take it upon my self to see what people really thought, get some designs and possible get some made.
It all depends on Interest and price really.
I'm off to look in to theses.

    Who wants one?

Not only are they nice for the engine bay whores out there.
They are also really really useful.
I love my A4 one but its getting a bit tatty.

I have a vans one and that's on it's way out too, nice ASN replacement would be nice, a decent one also so it looks good and lasts the duration.

Depends on what you want to use them really.
Holding dog tags, ID passes, USB drives, Your bonnet half up or your keys.
I use them for passes, dongles and keys.
Got about 3 I use during working hours.

I hope the Admins will come along and see this and give us answer.
If not I'll see what I can get away with.

I've looked at a printed set which works out at about £2 each minimum order of 100 but they say they can print the ASN logo and background around the lanyard with centre release clip.
Or one with a 16GB USB Drive.

It will be ASN or Audi-Sport.Net related. Not the rings.

I'll knock something up later and put it up in here.

I've only really looked at one place and it worked out about £2 each.
Unless you want a USB one.

Don't think so. There is minimum order of hundred.
Having ones with your name on could take the price up but also make them a bit more basic.
I found one that's full colour printed. Looks really nice and should be able to do the ASN logo in full colour. I need to double check. I'll try and sort something out today.

    Hi all

Your calls hadn't gone un-noticed I have been looking into them but as I'm sure Scott will have found China is on holiday for another 16 days... I was also thinking that the USB versions might work well. If people want the straight cloth that would be even simpler.

There are UK versions available of these.

    index_lanyards.jpg
For a bit more money we could have the better quality type

    12240437601478713916.jpg

But these I have to buy in 500s

which is why I don't want to get it wrong

    This is the USB version

    Lanyard-USB-V1.jpg

But these are atleast 16 days away.

Cost is important but the quality of the product and design is just as important.

No point having a £1 10mm lanyard with ASN knitted in that's going to snap soon as you load a bunch of keys on it.

Admin, why you going the chinese USB and having to wait 16 days?

Check out some of the UK products and save the wait.

You have to order a min of 500?
I've found a place that does a min order of 100. I think they are UK based but need to double check.

    EDIT:=-
The people I was talking to ship from China as well. so every thing is now made in china. lol

Most of the companies who advertis in the UK have them made in China. Very few really make them here and as it's new year in china they are all on holiday. I have spoken to a few people who do make them over here and they are saying that they are very busy at the moment as China is closed

I would like to have a slightly better one made and USB doesn't make them stupid in price. I was thinking 1 or 2GB.

The BBC example given above gets my vote. Strong, quality, chunky and simple - I feel that if the USB version broke then it'd become a bit redundant. You'll have to avoid the rain with it! I'd rather just dangle a USB off it if I needed to.
