Thread: Contract phone warranty?

Hey so my brother lost his phone and found it in the rain and found it about 4 hours later! He only got it last September
And still has about 14months left on his contract, he has no insurance on it! Does anyone
Know if his warranty covers water damage or what he could do to
Maybe get a replacement?

A warranty won't cover water damage.

If he took it back and they found a different fault, maybe a chip failure and it didn't have water damage, then they may replace the handset...

He may have cover on a bank account that he has, or you could also do it on your home/contents insurance, depends though as not sure if you will have accidental damage cover on your home insurance, in which case it should be covered.

Ahhh all good now he left it on a towel over a hot radiator and it seems to be working fine now! All working ok!
