    Question Heart rate...

Basically, I think my heart stopped the other day so today when I was checking that it had started beating again I decided to see how many beats per minute I get.

I came in at about 82 beats per minute. Although a few of those might have been the footsteps of my fat colleague who sits behind me.

Give it a go and see how many beats yours does. I'd be interested to know.

Neck, I only did it once though so it's not very scientific.

Ad's, if you've got concerns about your ticker ASN probably isn't the best place to seek help.

Have you tried the British Heart Foundations forum....?

Thanks for your concern but I don't have concerns. My heart didn't really stop (I hope!), just a palpitation for a couple of seconds.

Was bored at work (as usual) and had run out of websites to look at so I timed my heart beat
Just wanted to see how it compared to others.

56 here when resting, there's a good app on itunes for your iphone that lets you check your heart rate using the camera and LED flash !!!

when doing day to day activity, mine sits at around 70, not bad for a fat lump !

If I had to guess before doing it this is what I would've thought mine was. 82 sounds very fast now.

after rushing around the house this morning mine is at 57 but don't know what that would be when I've been 'resting' a little bit cos I never stop. I like to think I'm very fit and active, train at the gym 5 times a week and play football once/twice a week too.
