Which engine oil? (non - audi)

Funny post but I couldn't think of anywhere else to ask!

As someone that doesn't know much about engines, I need to know what oil to put in a small tractor!

It's not a sit on mower thing (got a JCB digger type thing on the back), but also not a full size tractor.

It's been very neglected over the years, and manual says a 10W-30 Oil, would any oil this specification be suitable? Or is it better looking for a specific(ish) type?

I bet this hasn't been asked before!

Im guessing that being a digger thing, it is Diesel?
So just make sure that it is propper nice Diesel Oil.
10W-30 should be nice and think as well.
