IT patents??

Does anybody else follow the madness of them all? Apple seemes to be one of the worst TBH but there are others. (how can you patent a icon of a box with rounded corners??)

I'd like to think i'm not a total dunce but that 3rd one surely could mean anything?

Think I'll start creating patents for emerging ideas even though I will never create the product & then when somebody else invents it for real I can reap the rewards.

The patents are worth more than the product them selfs.
And by fighting for them or making the company top production or even halt it will effect the competition.

Apple fighting Samsung again?
Seems a bit daft when Samsung makes most of the components for apple.

One of the main reasons that Google took over Motorola is for there 17,000 patents and their 7,000odd patent pending.
