Thread: P/X Reg Transfers??

Im doing a PX with someone for another car and we are both looking to keep our private plates.

How do we go about changing them over and what's the process

you need to go to the dvla local office with ur log book, mot, copy of tax disc. (for both cars) with a v317 form all filled out, easily downloadable from the net. with a cheque for £80.00. it takes 10 working days.

as above but you dont need the disc
as they will send new 1 with paperwork when you can change
then u send old 1 back
you do need the number from your disc for the form
and u will need to forms as your both keeping what you have

It's easy to transfer from one car to another, but to do it both ways may cause a few issues. The cost is £160, as it's £80 per car.
