    sending tyres - courier? How?

Hello all. I've just won a pair of tyres on Ebay and the seller wants Me to arrange My own courier to pick them up to be sent to Me. Has anybody had to do this before? I've send stuff from here but never arranged for things to be sent to Me.
I've been on interparcel.com but when I put in the measurements it doesn't work?

I've put in the following for a pair of 225 40 18 tyres..

    Weight 20kg
    height 450cm
    Length 55cm
    Width 55cm

Does this sound right for 2 tyres taped together?

    Cheers, ash

How far away are they coming from?

I won a set of 18" BBS wheels with tyres a few years ago off eBay for my A3.
I travelled to Liverpool to collect them, made a day out of it and went to the Outlet shopping centre in Cheshire Oaks on the way back...

Would it be worth while to collect them in person?

Use Paisley Freight. £20 collection and delivery of two tyres, 24hr service. I've used them a few times and they have always been very good and the cheapest.
They use one of the big couriers to do the work, they just book it for you at a discounted price.
