I like it, always liked fast Vauxhalls.
Now - Ford Focus RS (305 bhp) - 2009
Previous Cars
A4 2.0 TFSi S-Line (251 bhp) - 2005
Audi A3 3.2 Quattro Sport (250 bhp) - 2004
Ford Fiesta ST (150 bhp) - 2006
Ford Focus ST2 (290 bhp) - 2009
Skoda Octavia vrS (215 bhp) - 2001
Volkswagen Golf GTi Turbo (230 bhp) - 2001
I'm a big fan of fast Vauxhalls Ash, my last car being a 315BHP Astra VXR. Really pleased to see that this one comes much better equipped as standard to deal with the power going through the front wheels, LSD, big brakes, HiPerstrut etc. All these things I had to add to mine aftermarket to make it more driveable, ..but the fun factor I got out of driving it was worth it. There are some good real life piccies half way down the page on the following link. I like it a lot, but won't be returning to VX again. Once you cross over to four rings, it just wouldn't feel right going back, lol.x

SHARK PERFORMANCE STAGE 2
Looks good,I loved the old one so if its an upgrade on that then it can't go wrong.
Paulie i remember seeing pics of your old Astra with Carbon goodies on it and yes i loved it! i have always liked the way those Astra's looked just hated the plastic interior... almost bought a 1.9 Diesel but like i said the interior put me off so ended up getting a MK4 Golf at the time.
that Astra GTC looks quiet nice, the alloys are different for sure. Not feeling that odd coloured drivers seat... surely its not hard to
tell which seat is the drivers!
i totally agree with you on the 4 rings part... im not saying i wont ever get something different but i am definitely a fan of 4 rings

Paullie liked this post
I have always loved fast astras, well any fast vauxhall really. Used to have a mk3 gsi and tbh when the time comes to get something new I would seriously consider another one. Doubt it will be the new one though, can't quite afford it lol but still lovely![]()
the cabin of the new insignia is a nice place to be, drove one a little while back but its not something i would look to own myself... although a nice car it is!

Big wheels... 245/35/21 !
99' S3 APY currently just 007p, Badger 5 TIP, Customised Miltek non-res cat-back, Jetex cone, H&R Springs and Bilstein B8 Dampers ... 3" Downpipe, AH Fabrications FMIC and R-Tech Re-map on the way
I must be getting old.
I looked at it, thought it looked really cool, but then thought the seats look like they could give me a backache, it is only a 3 door, it will most likely cost a fortune for petrol, the insurance will be high, and the value of it will drop like a Vectra.
Audi A4 1.8T Sport Convertible. Multitronic.
don't really like the look of it.
wouldn't mind the brakes
I wasn't a fan of the old VXR. Something about that I didn't like, I donno. That though is nice! The front and the back. Bit suprised that it's not 4WD like the Insignia VXR. As much as I really do like the look of that, I'd never buy one. I prefer fast Fords. Saying that, I wouldn't buy the Focus RS either! The Escort Cossie though....![]()
Coss
S3 S-tronic: Panther Black, lots of extras, MTM remap
apparently it has 276 bhp with 295lb torque, from a 2 litre engine that would require a lot of boost, so there's either 2 options, it has a large turbo with tons of lag, or has a standard size turbo but they are using it to near enough it's maximum capacity
not my cup of tea, it'll loose its value quick and what's the point in having all that power at the front wheels? it's also going to cost around £25,000 - think what else you could buy with £25,000 - a 1 year old s3 will set you back £20,000, minus £500 for a remap that leaves you with £4,500 to spend on all sorts !
Or there could be a third option. The twin scroll turbo that is used in the new SAAB lump. It is in effect a little turbo bolted to a big turbo. The little one spins up the big one and eliminates lag. The new saab CDTTi engine is about 280bhp standard with it apparently.
