Thread: BST Clocks change

when are they gonna sort out the clock timings they should be making it lighter in the evenings not darker!
heard a while back from someone the govt are going to change it

anyone know anything definite about this.

I don't think it will happen. The problem is there is too much variation in the sunrise time between the South of England and the North of Scotland. Putting us on the same time frame as continental Europe would leave Northern Scotland in the dark until mid-morning in the winter months.

why not have different time zone for scotland? (no offence,lol) like the states do

Because it's not an east-west difference...

east / west split doesnt seem to actually make any difference if you look at how the time zones are actually set out across the globe looking at this pic.
