    Ipod help

I keep my itunes library on an external HD which has recently been FUBAR, so am only left with the copies on the ipod itself (a 30gb Classic). I need to copy those (4500) tunes from the ipod back onto the PC so I can start synching with itunes again.

I tried following a guide from Google but it didn't seem to work for me. There are plenty of programs available for purchase to do it, but I don't really want to pay to move MY music from MY ipod to MY PC.....

I know there are some IT folk on here, can anyone help?

You can put your iPod music on to your iTunes by using idump.
Just google idump and it should come up.
    And it's free

I've tried that, but for whatever reason (probably me..) I could never locate the copied data with itunes.
