    Very tasty!

My father had a 1.4T auto as a courtesy car a couple of weekends ago. He said it was a nice drive but the auto box worked the engine more than he would have expected.

Seems to have dwindled somewhat over the past couple of years, still got some old faces with a lot of polo knowledge though! UK-polos.bet is a fair bit livelier (sp?).

Personally I think Polos are brilliant little cars, very underated and tend to live in the Golf's shadow (undeservedly!). I have just bought my 3rd Polo so I might be a tiny bit biased...

Don't discount the equivalent Seat Ibiza - they tend to be slightly cheaper second hand buys as there is less badge snobbery. Ultimately they are the same car underneath. There is always plenty going on at SEATCupra.net - Your #1 source for SEAT information - Home.

Had a 1.9tdi 2003 Polo before my A4, The 1.9 made it fairly quick. Good cars, Only problem i had with it was the front ARB (the plastic collars broke). If you go for a sport version see what you think of the ride, as mine had 16" wheels and I found the ride was pretty hard with only one up.

I've just bought one of those! TBH I prefer the standard TDi sport ride to the A3 20VT I had before. In fact IMO it could do with bring firmer, but that's just my preference (most fun I've had behind the wheel of a car was my mk3 polo GT. It was like driving a skateboard)

I was actually quite surprised at how hard the 9n can be pushed in the bends before it starts to get out of shape. That's not to say it's on rails, just better than I was expecting from a polo!

I also own a VW Polo (11years old) 6n2 1.4 16v and i can tell you this thing has never missed a beat it's used every day and it's is nice little workhorse we service it every 6 months, and has cost us very little over the years. Some Polo forums / Clubs have a mixed bag of memebers which range from young boys just starting out and long term owner's.. Club Polo . uk-polos.net I think the 6n2 model is the better looking (1999-2001) the 9n models the newer shape that you and your wife will be buying are also covered on both forum's.
