Why are zips up to close and down to open?
Would it not make more sense for them to be down to close and up to open?
Less chance of them falling open that way.

And you'll find that zips don't "fall open" because of gravity, the zipper gets forced down because of the separating of the zip strips/runners.

Trust me, i'm a zip expert.

Who says I was talking about trousers?

Could have it where the zip unclips, like you get on big coats and sleeping bags.

What ever the reason for them opening.
If they was up this way, they would not open.

This goes for pockets, jackets, coats, hoodies. any thing really.

Some applications they need to be the current way but still.
    The point stands.

It did spark the idea. granted.

Why are bra's hooks and not velcro or zips?

It would be equally annoying with pockets etc because when the zip gets knackered, they would just fall closed...

More to the point, why not just not break your zips and then they won't fall open.

Velcro would probably keep coming unstuck. You know how bad velcro goes after a few times through the washing machine. Hooks are cheaper and possibly (I dont wear bras so wont know for sure) easier to hook up then to zip up behind your back!

It depends on the back story.
    But you're right.

I'm going with the thought that no one got hurt or died, makes it a funny gif then.
