newbie advice please

Hi i am looking at a 53 A4 Tdi SE and just a quick question the seller says it is alarmed but no immobiliser! is the immobiliser not built into alarm on these cars.

Should have an immobiliser as standard mate, i believe after a certain year, possibly 2001, where all cars manufactured had to have one fitted.

yes its got an immobiliser
unless hes had it programed out !
