I need to convert and burn an avi file to DVD for playing in a standard DVD player.

Haven't had the need to do it for years so have lost touch with which software is best.

I used to use DVD Santa which did the job quite well, albeit sometimes the audio was out of sync.

Any recommendations of freebie software to use??

Cheers.

Thanks. I see they've got one called AVS DVD Authoring. I'll stick it on the list of ones to maybe use.

I've only got one DVD-R so I've gotta get it right!

I found its proper name, its AVS Video Convert is what i use.

You select the video you want to convert, you then pick which formate (AVI, DVD, MP4, 3GP, MPEG, MOV, WMV, RM or SWF). You can then pick one of many profiles for each formate.
Each pre-set profile is set for a specific device to use or size.
Then just press convert and its done.

AVS Video Converter: perfect for home video conversion. Convert video fast & easily!
